18/8 Cusco -> Ollantaytambo

This morning Dennis made us breakfast and dropped us off at the airport for our 11am flight to Cusco. We arrived completely unprepared for the cold, rainy weather, both wearing shorts 😅 We basically went straight to Cusco to Ollantaytambo via a short taxi followed by a long 2 hour colectivo (these are buses that usually have a mixture of tourists and locals, waiting at a pick-up spot and leaving once the bus is full - much cheaper than a private vehicle!) We found a nice restaurant for dinner and enjoyed some pisco sal picked up duty free at the airport while we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the ruins right from our window.Read more
