Piran to Motovun

Distance: 70 km. Total elevation: 1,274 m

Tough morning with lots of nasty pinches (14% & more). But glorious weather and scenery. You could see the various snow capped mountain ranges in the distance - even the Dolomites.

Although we had our passports, they recently abolished the border control between Slovenian & Croatia so we didn’t need to pause on the well earned downhill!

Motovun is a classic hilltop town, cobbled streets, old walls & great views but of course this means the ride ends with a 4km 9% climb!Read more
