Queenstown explore - a gentle start.

A note from your foreign correspondent…Exploring Frankton and Queenstown by bike. We are staying about half way between the two. Time to attend to a few chores and also chance to recuperate after the long journey and fit in a couple of nice coffees (before we are deprived of this luxury, which will turn me into an ogre for the fallow ‘non coffee’ period). Queenstown is pretty cool, picturesque, has a nice centre, and is situated right on Lake Wakatipu with a jagged toothlike mountain backdrop. An outdoor place with outdoor folks, and lots of outdoor activities it seems. Including a strange two person underwater jet ski trip thingy on the lake that we watched submerge and then pop out of the water like a breaching dolphin. The people we have met and spoken to are super nice and helpful. Saw this mural with ‘Never Settle’ which is quite apt for our current status, and life over the next few months.Leia mais
