    Adelaide: vineyards and beaches

    January 8, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Had raisin toast for breakfast at Stacey's and drove to McClaren Valley where several vineyards are. We went wine tasting at SC Panell and tried 10 different wine. My favourite was a white called Aromatico which was so easy to drink! They had a lovely white too called syrah (old French word for Shiraz) and this had the stalks of the grape in which gave it a different taste to the other Shiraz. Apparently it's more traditional or old school to have the stalk on.

Had yummy lunch at the vineyard with pork dumplings, crab and empanadas to start. Then meat souvlaki wraps for mains.

Drove to Henley beach (more classy, quieter beach) but was quite cloudy so didn't sit out as wind made it a little cold. Had ice cream milkshake (they love ice cream here). Drove around neighbourhood but got really tired so came back for dinner.
