    Kaikoura to Picton

    Another day day on the train today, not that it's a problem. Shifted up to the top of the South Island to Picton ready to cross to the North Island and Wellington tomorrow. Train takes about 3hrs up the very scenic coast.
    Weather was warm and cloudy but cleared later in the day.
    No adventures today. Just wandered around Picton which is nestled in a steep valley at the top of Queen Charlotte Sound. Angela bought a nice coat ( winter clothes are on special) and a matching beanie and gloves in merino and possum fur.    Read more
