• Picton to Wellington

    After breakfast at Toasty Lords this morning caught the Interislander ferry from Picton to Wellington, crossing from the South Island to the North Island in the process.
    Andy had upgraded us to the Gold Lounge so we had better seats, free drinks and free food. The trip from Picton to the Cook Strait is an hour and a bit of beautiful fjord scenery, then across the Cook Strait, which was well behaved today, to windy Wellington.
    Bit of a walk to the hotel but no biggie. Shame about the hills though. Here for a few days so laundry time.
    As a side note the ferry we came across on had a 'beached az' incident in July when it ran around near Picton. All went fine today.
