W town to Pio Pio via Taranaki

    December 12, 2024 in New Zealand ⋅ 🌧 20 °C

The weather was not kind to us today. It did a Franz Josef and clouded in so we could not see the elegant symmetry of Mt Taranaki. Used all our good luck yesterday at Ruapehu I suppose.
Proceeded up the coast to Pio Pio, our overnight stop. Yet more amazing scenery. Learned how to stop the phone camera focussing on the raindrops on the side window.
Fishing note. The rivers here are quite cloudy due to the volcanic soil. Have to do some research to see if they are good for fishing.
