A shower and another night at the coast

After three days without a proper shower and the possibility to clean ourselves and our belongings properly, we finally found out, that some State Park Campingareas offer 2$ showers for non-campers 🤩. That’s us!!! The guy at the reception also told me other important things to know when driving down US-101 and camping along the way. He told us about a Rest Area north of Florence, which is our destination for tomorrow, where we can stay another free night car-camping. We arrived at 10pm and the place was absolutely empty - not one other car, kind of creepy but we stayed anyway. Right by the coast, sleeping in we heard the sea rushing 🌊.

Nach drei Tagen ohne eine ordentliche Dusche und die Möglichkeit alle Klamotten und das Geschirr ordentlich zu waschen, fanden wir endlich heraus, dass manche State Park Campingplätze für Nicht-Camper Duschen gegen einen kleinen Betrag von 2$ anbieten! 🤩 das waren eindeutig wir!
Der Mann an der Rezeption des Campingplatzes informierte mich ausserdem über alles weitere Wissenswerte für einen Roadtrip die Westküste und den Highway 101 runter. So hilfreich! Er erzählte mir von einer Rest Area kurz vor Florence (unserem nächsten Zwischenstopp), wo wir kostenlos schlafen könnten. Um 22 Uhr kamen wir dort an, stocken düster und menschenleer 😂. Etwas beängstigend aber dennoch verbrachten wir dort die Nacht mit Meeressrauschen im Hintergrund 🌊.Читать далее
