    I had to visit Durham on the way home and see St Cuthbert's tomb in the Cathedral.
    He has a plain tombstone with the simple inscription 'CVTHBERTVS', his name in Latin. There's also the tomb of the Venerable Bede, and the apprentice pillar, spot the error on the 5th zigzag.
    I stayed for evensong which was with a visiting choir, Alleyn Singers, and was marvellous. A fitting end to the trip.    Baca selengkapnya
