Venice, Italy

We arrived at the Island of Venice and rode the people mover from the bus parking area to the main part of Venice where we dragged our suitcases across a bridge, past the train station to the Hotel Abbazia. Our hotel used to be a monastery and our room had religious designs in the floor. It was an interesting room as the bathtub sat in the main bedroom at the foot of the bed.
No vehicles are allowed on Venice streets, so we were able to walk past the shops and restaurants in peace. We found a lovely restaurant with a backyard courtyard where we had pesto pasta and Doug had pasta with shrimp, zucchini and tomatoes. Delicious!もっと詳しく
