    After two weeks in Eastbourne

    May 1, 2022 in Scotland ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

It has been two weeks, so I want to look back. I´m getting used to being run over by a car almost every day, because there aren´t any pedestrian crossings, drivers never use their indicators and the main reason is, that I´m still looking in the wrong direction, when I cross the street. And the worst of all is, that the bus always comes at least 15 min to late or sometimes it doesn´t come at all. The school is alright, in the morning we prepare for the CAE exam and in the afternoon we speak a lot. But the weather in Eastbourne is fabulous, it is warm, sunny and a bit windy, it´s perfect. We had also a few trips, for example the trip to Brighton or the trip the London. I didn´t enjoy the trip to Brighton at all. But the trip to London was the best, from what I experienced so far. I really enjoyed the city and it wasn´t crowded at all. To be honest, I want to go back, because the longer I stay here the more I want to visit beachy head again. But I try to stay optimistic and enjoy my last days here.Read more

    First impression

    April 21, 2022 in Scotland ⋅ ☁️ 6 °C

After a few days here I already know more or less the streets and places, because Eastbourne is a rather small town. The first thing I noticed was, that you have to ride on the left side of the road and that the roads are really bumpy. And also that the houses look all similar to each other. I also have a friendly host mother and another exchange-student here. He also goes to the same language school, which really helped me to get used to the new environment, because he showed me everything and gave me also some tips where I could go for lunch or at the weekends. I also noticed that the schools here have a schooluniform, which is rather strange for me to see. But it wasn´t surprising to see so many old people here, because I´ve kind of expected it to be so. But there are still some families and students here. The most surprising thing was, that there so were many Swiss people in the language school. I still enjoy the new life here and I already exited for my trip to brighton.Read more
