Can't seem to leave Castellane

Using our new found feet driven transport technique we set ourselves off for a well planned and prepared footspedition. Several "steps" we discover the land is now private. So a random amble in the other direction sees us passing through small mountain communities and discovering that when golden retrievers are triple their usual size and left alone with sheep they are not always friendly. Next the steppometer took us to a strange monastery of the Union of all religions - including "cosmic jesus" with a Ray gun shooting fire a few meters from vishnu who was a few meters away from Buddha - seemed like our kinda cult but unfortunately their gates opened at precisely 3.30 and 4.15 and our treadmakers weren't updated to time travel so on we went, and finally reached the end of the gravel motorway at quite possibly the greatest view mother nature has to offer- will confirm this in due course.
