My legs hurt

Once again not many photos from me because my legs nearly fell off. The hills were almost as big as the pizza we had for lunch! I learned that I have quite a ways to go if I want to push six watts per kilo but I'm still pretty cool with my effort on a bike where only every second gear worked! I got my wish to drink some Chianti wine and it was in a castle at the top of a hill with a wonderful view ((: I also learnt the joys of descending on windy roads really fast (although not as fast as Alfred who beat a car). We finished the evening with a little picnic on a dam (?) in the river in Florence which was a peaceful juxtaposition to the chaos of the day.
