  • Day 4 Hervey Bay

    June 17, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 19 °C

We went for a walk around the Botanical Gardens this morning, saw a girl very distressed, asked if she needed any help, she didn't even reply, so prayed for her while we walked around. And you never know what's around the corner. They have an open-air chapel, and a bride walked down to the song PERFECT. Certainly affect Joy, in tears.
Did a bit grocery shop, van for lunch. Went down to the pathway next to the sea and had a walk. Back to van packed, ready to leave for Bundaberg in the morning. Picture of bride not to good, didn't what to interfere.
Noticed the bench seats all have plaques on them, remember people who have passed on, so well done.

  • Hervey Bay to Bundaberg

    June 18, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 15 °C

Surprised neighbours' kids use a peddle cart at the park before left, have use of them through G'day. They had big smiles.
Off we went to Bundaberg, quite trip up. Settled in at park, manager good, came to make sure we ok. About to go out, and Helga came over and a chat. She is 84, her husband is 94, and they are from Melbourne area, staying for 4 months, brilliant and able to with a van at that age.
Had a brilliant arvo and night with Sanitha and her family.

  • Bundaberg day 2

    June 19, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

Sun beat us up again, hahaha. Did our washing, all hung out. Decided to have a go at fixing drainage in the shower. Did temporary fix, a tjoint on the waist for kitchen sink, so a breather was made to let drainage be more efficient.
Headed to Bargara for lunch with Sanitha, a wonderful time with her, lunch wasn't too bad either. I went and looked over the ocean while the girls had some time together and definitely more laughter. A wonderful day.

  • Bundaberg 3

    June 20, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 13 °C

Quite sort of day. Went to town, got phone cover and glass clear protective replaced. Joy got earrings. We had a personalised tour of Macadimas Australia with Sanitha and had lunch with her. A good time was had, said our goodbyes, and headed back to the van.
Decided to go town and check out some bike racks and see about antennas. Joy asked me to Christian bookshop, got there just before closed. Picked out cards and a few other things. Smith Wigglesworth was mentioned, and I was able share some stories, they where encouraged by these stories, and 1 lady commented that she needed to hear something. Good, I thought. Got back to the van. Elgar was sitting with Joy and had been speaking for quite a while, and Joy told me she shared a lot with her. Trying to decide where to go next, and I can't get a clear mind on it.

  • Bundaberg 4

    June 21, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 15 °C

A quiet day was heading off today. I couldn't think of anywhere to go, stay here, and leave Friday. Had a nice coffee in town and back to the van. Did a lot of talking to neighbours from SA. Joy mentioned things of our church, turns out they Christians. So all good hearing that. Well, tv is all warmed up. Thankfully, the caravan park has aerials. The Winegard doesn't work with horizontal (think that terminology), so they put one up for you. The best caravan park. Go the Blues.Read more

  • Bundaberg to Goomeri

    June 23, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

Well, we had a great visit to Bundaberg. Yesterday I went an hour and a half bike, around 11km. Very enjoyable spot, Lake Ellen. Joy had lunch with Sanitha. Left this morning, stop at Childers, then onto Dallamill, where we stopped for coffee. On to Goomeri, road not the best, arrived around 12.30 at the sg. Set up for the night.Read more

    June 24, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Well set up by 1pm, had some lunch. Walked up town and had a look around. Joy bought herself a new dress, then on to antique shop, brought memories of when we were young, then on soap and book shops. Went to Foodworks for milk and bread, milk only 10x dearer than Aldi, Monto Carlos on special. Back to the van, sitting near the van and neighbours arrived back, and had a good chat. TV reception is non-existent. It was a very cold night.Read more
