• Volleyballtrip to Bremen

    October 2, 2022 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Getting into the Bus in Kamen at 10 am, more than one person telling me it’s an “unchristlichste Zeit” on a Sunday.
I get off at some sidewalk and buy a 8€ day pass to use unlimited public transportation. Bremen is such a cute small city, old small houses, red stone bricks everywhere and a Marathon I surprisingly walk into. 42 kilometers done in the time of 3 minutes, awesome timing.
The sightseeing tour starts with the famous 4 Bremen Stadtmusikanten consisting of the donkey, dog, cat and rooster. Everybody taking pictures in front of the really small bronze statue and then strolling through the quite big marathon crowd simply wanting to look at the tall buildings which is not working out. I take a train to the Viertel and some Theater places, do some window shopping and admire all the vegan options they offer in every small restaurant. One vintage second hand shop following each other. Bremen is such a small place. But honestly: so cute.
After the Volleyball game (0:3 woooooooop wooooooooop) we eat out in a Mexican restaurant at the Schlachte. Exactly 8 hours after reaching the bus takes us all back home. I’m nearly asleep but once everybody starts to sing and yell and dance inside the club my motivation gets up and I stay awake the whole time. At 2:20 am I finally take my train from Kamen to Dortmund HBF and drop down dead asleep around 3 am.
