• After the Full Moon- Island Exhales

    January 5 in Thailand ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

We arrived in Koh Phangan after boating over from Samui. Of course, we showed up early—always aiming to avoid any rush—and made a beeline for the top deck as soon as we boarded. Those boats are notorious for pukers, and my gang was not about to be taken down by a sick neighbour.

The views were unreal, and although my nerves were definitely awake (the middle of the ocean is not my favourite place to hang out), the crossing was quick, smooth, and absolutely gorgeous.

On our first day, we checked into our villa—and wow. It was stunning. Exactly what we were hoping for: quiet, still, tucked away in the jungle. A place to truly land. The rental was top-notch.

This island is known for its infamous Full Moon Party, which had wrapped up the night before, but surprisingly, everything felt calm and peaceful. Everyone just doing their own thing. We took a little wander to scout out hangout spots and places to eat and realized life here would be simple—minus the flip-flop hike down from our jungle villa.

After a fun, social week with friends, this slower pace was more than welcome. We started stacking steps, getting in morning runs, and hitting up the outdoor gym.

Such a rad spot to play cards, eat well, catch a hockey game, and post up for a few days.
