• A Roman villa in the centre of Sicily

    May 21, 2025 in Italy ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

It was a two and a half hour ride from last night's beach front tourist hotel to Villa Trigona. I would have enjoyed the ride more if the roads were in better condition or the suspension of the Vincent wasn't so bad. My back suffered many sharp jolts as I hit unavoidable bumps.
I met some Maltese motorcyclists when I stopped for fuel and coffee and enjoyed chatting with them. They said they will visit me in Birgu.
I noticed oil under the bike when I was chatting. A rocker cap came loose it was easily tightened.
I gave the bike a clean after I had relaxed for a while at the hotel.
Villa Trigona was built in the 700s and is now a small hotel very tastefully renovated. It's quiet and peaceful.
I'll post a few photos from today.
