We put the teardrop in our snowy site and decided to visit Old Faithful. On the way, on the other side of Fishing Bridge, were some bison on a ridge. We parked and got out of the car to take pictures. Next thing you know is that the bison are on the road and crossing the bridge, as Jackie is keeping me between the bison and herself.
After getting to Old Faithful, we froze while waiting for it to erupt.
We also visited inside the historic hotel, which had a great room 4-5 stories high, with interesting tree limbs for support.

  • Canyon and day 2 of Old Faithful

    19 de maio de 2017, Estados Unidos ⋅ ☀️ 4 °C

The road to Canyon Village was closed after South Rim Drive, so we were unable to any of the North overlooks for the "Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone". We went to Artist Point on the south side to get great views of the canyon and falls.
On the way there, we saw many bison. At Mud Volcano area, we turned back on our walk because the bison were right next to the boardwalk. On our way back, another bison had moved closer to the path that lead back to the car. Other people were standing way to close to it. Some people walked by it without getting gored, so we nervously walked past it so we could leave.
In the afternoon, we drove back to Old Faithful, watched another eruption, and rode our bikes to see many of the geysers.
