KoYao Island Day 4 - Last Day…

Last day in this glorious land…. So much left unseen which is bittersweet. Bittersweet in that we would have loved to see and do it ALL but at the same time, it leaves more reasons for a return trip!

Today was spent relaxing and taking in the views from our hotel (and being sure Mike didn’t “accidentally”toss our passports in the sea).

Coffee, breakfast and then time by the pool / beach until it was time for one last massage. Thankfully these massages were one of theeeeee best of the trip. I even got my dogs cleaned up and polished by probably one of the nicest ladies we’ve met. The cherry on top was her granddaughter showing up after school, so happy and chatty, and practicing her English with me and Mike. Typically I like peace and quiet for times like these, but this little girl had a wonderful spark about her so she got a pass. 😉

After massages, we snagged a snack and then back to pool/beach side to contemplate the trek home. I didn’t dare to say the “p” word to Mike so I let him bring it up.

Packing (the “p” word) commenced before dinner and then it was off to delight in one last authentic Thai cuisine at our hotel’s restaurant before bedtime.

Not too many pics to share of today’s activities (or lack thereof). And who would want to see tears and temper tantrums by Mike anyway??? Jk. No temper tantrums (yet).

The joy of this trip can’t be fully documented. My joy wasn’t only from experiencing SO much of such a wonderful, different country and being perfectly pushed to be more adventurous… my joy also came from witnessing Mike’s joy in sharing his love of this country with me and walking in step together these past 18 days. Very grateful for each and every moment we were provided here in Thailand and for all the people who patiently answered so many of my questions! 😂 God is good!
