T.D Part II - Singapore -> Colombo

WE HAVE ARRIVED! Literally … not in a self-discovery type of way but that could be too, I suppose. Over 30 hours from door to Sri Lanka. Current status? Showered and ready for 💤 at the Belmont in Negombo, Sri Lanka (about 20 mins from airport).

Mike didn’t sleep much on the journey so he’s racked out as I type away here. Could have been the glasses of wine with meals, welcome mimosas and a Singapore Sling for the assist to help my slumber on the planes. 🤔 His sleep issues may have stemmed from the James Bond, Mission Impossible or John Wick flicks he watched. 😆

Humid here and felt a lot like Guatemala when we got outside of the airport. Can’t really say how but our mission trip to Guatemala came to mind instantly with the smell of the damp air and bustle of people all around.

Hotel + room is 👌🏼. Some definite night creatures 🐸🪳🪲that you can hear in one of the videos. Didn’t ask what it/they were … but they sing loud and proud. Even had a little lizard on our wall in our room. Going to pretend I didn’t see that 🫣.

Showered and Sri Lankan breakfast ordered up! Send well wishes as we will have our first hopper tomorrow! Not sure what a hopper is? Stay tuned for tomorrow (or you can ChatGPT that biz).
