  • Tai Kok Tsui

    June 13, 2018 in Hong Kong ⋅ 🌫 26 °C

Venturing out of my hotel, I found myself in Tai Kok Tsui district. The half-industrial half-residential is populated with old residential buildings, with many senior citizens as its residents. Blocks of high-rise residential buildings have been erected on the reclaimed area to the west, which marked the revitalization of the area with many restaurants and bars setting up shop.

The district looks as if it comes straight out of John Woo movies. With a lot of people on their phone, merchants offer their stuff to people in the street, and mid-aged men laughing and chats in the local herbal tea shops, I found wondering this area somewhat satisfying. Especially with a camera in hand.

  • Ocean Park

    June 15, 2018 in Hong Kong ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Ocean Park is an interesting mashup between a theme park and a zoo. One place where you could see various animals, such as panda and penguin, from nearby. Worth to see at least once in your life. Not twice, just once.Read more

The Hong Kong symbol and icon, the golden bauhinia blakeana. Situated outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, where the ceremonies for the handover of Hong Kong and the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region were held in July 1997.

Although there's no activity you could do over here, this place still a must visit one.

  • Beizhoushan

    June 17, 2018 in China ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Arrived too early for the next footprint, so I decide to take a few steps around the area. Things are quite similar with Hong Kong just with lesser crowd.

  • Window of the World

    June 17, 2018 in China ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Window of the World contains numerous replicas of wonders and buildings from around the world. Some of them are incredibly great, but some others look fake even from far away. Take a lot of time to circle the area and view the whole park, but still kind of interesting to visit each exhibit one by one even it does not live up to your expectations.Read more
