Salta

After a full day on a bus that unfortunately was more similar to our buses in Australia (AKA uncomfortable), we arrived in Salta late in the afternoon. Once we had settled into our hotel, we went for an orientation walk of Salta before heading out for dinner. That night we got a true introduction too Argentina; amazing street demonstrations of the tango and a very late dinner with very large portions.
The second day, we went to experience the Gaucho way of life by visiting an Argentinan ranch. At the ranch we learnt to make empanadas, were introduced to Mate, a traditional drink similar to green tea, enjoyed a BBQ lunch cooked on an Argentinan BBQ known as an Asador

And then went for ride on the horses, where we learnt the Gaucho way of riding a horse.
The next day we had the morning to explore more of Salta before getting ready for a flight to Buenos Aires.
