Avignon

Well, what a cock up. We travelled over 200 miles to Provence to see Avignon only to discover we had been here two years ago when on our way back from Croatia. We were wandering around the city when Lynn said it seemed familiar. We checked our Google photos, and yes, we were here in June 2023, and neither of us had remembered.

Anyway, we decided to go to Chateauneuf du pape, where my favourite wine is produced. Thought I would get a bargain buying direct from the grower. Think again, the prices were extortionate starting at 45 euros a bottle. £19.99 in Aldi...I'll wait till I get home.Read more
