Gorges du Verdon

We thought we would travel the 100 or so miles to spend some time in the Gorges du Verdon. Following the sat nav, which doesn't know we have a 7.8m caravan in tow, took us up into the mountains and through the gorge on roads we shouldn't really have been on. A bus coming the opposite way nearly took us out on a sharp bend, and a motorcyclist behind the bus nearly ended up on the back seat. Anyway, the gorge was spectacular with a 1000ft drop to my right.
Made it to the camp site in one piece and quickly looked at the route out again. I think we're staying here for a few days to calm down.Read more
