Walking the gorge du verdun

Great day hiking in the gorge. Parked the car in the car park and set off to do some of the hike. The total length is 16km and takes around 6 hours, but you have to get a lift back, a bus, or a taxi, so we only did 2hours out and two hours back. Passed through two long tunnels each 0.4miles, old mining railway tunnels, torch needed as pitch black. When we got back to the car park the parking came to 30 EUROS!! Should have taken more notice before parking. Anyway, it didn't spoil the day. Incredible walk,stunning views.Read more
