Arriving in Luang Prabang

Soon thereafter, the river cruise concluded in Luang Prabang, we disembarked, and were driven to our respective accommodations.

I actually really enjoyed the cruise and already miss spending all that time in nature, with lunch buffets, surprisingly quiet people (minus one deafening American…) and the occasional cow carcass floating past in the river.

The hostel seems fine so far - though a huge minus is that there is no smoke-free area (why do people care so much about smokers???).

I explored the night market two corners away and was positively surprised! So many awesome souvenirs! I so wish I could stop getting them… 😁

My first impression of Luang Prabang is certainly positive. While the traffic is surprisingly busy, it‘s a laid-back place, and the nature around it is very pleasant.Read more
