    Camping in National Forests again after so long feels like a real treat. Free dispersed camping overlooking some incredible rock formations at Vedauwoo in Medicine Bow National Forest.

    Some fun facts about this area:

    The rock is 1.4 billion-year-old Sherman Granite with towers and bewildering landforms sculpted by natural forces over eons of time.

    It’s considered the Fat Crack/Offwidth climbing mecca of North America with well over 1,000 climbing routes here.

    We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and had some mule deer join us for coffee before a 3 mile hike around Turtle Rock.
