    Khmer Amok

    We learned so much of the Khmer history at the temples today, its just fitting we try the Khmer Amok which is their local dish.

    Its basically chicken or fish cooked inside coconut juice with steamed rice. Sometimes even served in the coconut shell.

    We also had some fried spring rolls, which is my go to dish here (and I now know how to make it after our cooking lesson), noodles and shrimp is also a dish that you can't go wrong with. However my favorite dish today was the birds nest noodles with beef, its noodles fried into the form of a nest with beef and vegetables in the nest.
