    These guys would be whipped in North KoreaPublic affection? No... It was 3 degrees (feels like Costco milk section)Ready to be impressedNice start: a cute hand towel holderThen we were presented with a box of unique chopsticks to choose from: like Harry Potter Asian styleI chose these ones (or vice versa)This is the Japanese degustation at the Waldorf by the wayBy far the best meal we've had in the US ever.If you ever see this rice lager...buy it!And have it with some wagyu!Yoshoku. Significantly better food, service and price than the Modern (spoilers!)

    We replaced the poppies and gnarly old RSL stalwarts with sousaphones, stars & stripes and military school students. Remembrance day is usually a sombre affair, but in NYC at least, it is a flag waving, march-song singing parade complete with hundreds of units and a few dozen floats. We camped out on a corner with a good view and watched the progressively older and less out-of-time schools march by. We weren't strong enough to last until the adults arrived as our resolve drifted with the snow.Read more
