They fought constantlyMost of the route was very steep, rocky paths which led to this monasteryA monk was told to build it near mountains, a river and an elephant shaped rock.1Can you see the elephant?How about now?In the land of the blind the one eyed man is kingFinally on to Marpha.. the apple town!Cute houses and lanewaysAnd welcoming peopleThis doesn't look great, but when you mix it all together it is fantasticShe was proud of her food and very happy that we left clean platesWatch Jerryy then these lanes will take on a new meaning

    Our main destination today was the town of Marpha: a pretty village that is a favourite of domestic tourists due to its narrow lanes, traditional buildings and apple farms. It also has streets with famous names such as Tik Tok lane and Jerryy lane named after the 2014 Nepalese blockbuster, "Jerryy". Local tourists rent Himalayan attire and film themselves recreating scenes from the movie. I recommend Jerryy for those interested!
    Most of our exploration prior to that was on horseback.. An excellent way to reach those elevated monasteries!    Read more
