Day 7 - Nauryz festival

It's the new year's celebration for the central Asians! Since the majority of the population in Ulgii city is Kazakh, it's a big celebration here and a national holiday, and guess what, the President of Mongolia was also here in the town! I don't think I ever met my own president even, so that's quite special. People wear colorful traditional dresses and there are a few performances, a parade in the city center and the best part is this is the time where families will have an open house for their extended family and relatives and they will have a feast, and we're so lucky that Bupye (our kickass guide) invited us to visit her relative's house also to her house and have a feast with her family.
