The beautiful Buddhas

We left Kandy today, I was glad to leave the crazy traffic! We had to keep the balcony door closed in Kandy- monkeys might come in our room and take our stuff! We drove Tiki again today - she had a rest yesterday so was ready for any hills. We stopped at some caves on our way to the next place. We had to climb a lot of stairs again to reach the top. Monkeys everywhere again and some extra cute baby ones. I don't know how I am going to fit them all in my bag!
The caves were very cool, even after all the stairs. Frog and I counted the Buddhas, about 150 I think. There were lots standing up and some huge ones lying down. I would lay down too if I had to keep climbing stairs.
When we got to our next stop we had a bit of a rest, but not for long because dad rang and said 'get to the river as fast as you can'. I had a feeling it was an elephant and I was right! Eddy the elephant having his bath! He might be a bit harder to bring home. It was sad seeing the elephant with a chain around his foot- I didn't like that.Læs mere
