    While waiting to get our massages we walked around looking for some street food. We were going to be daring and go for it! In a little side street we found 2 street vendors, one looked vegetarian and one had some meat for Reilly.
    He paid 70 Baht for chicken and rice with some amazing spicy sauce.
    I paid 50 baht for egg and rice with not so spicy but also amazing sauce.

    We decided to get some fruit to go with our street food.
    I got papaya for 20 Baht.
    Reilly got pineapple and mango with salty-spicy seasoning for 40 Baht.
    The papaya was good, papaya is pretty tasteless.
    The mango was hard, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be with that kind of seasoning.
    The pineapple was to die for. We have never in our lives had pineapple that tasted that amazing!! Wow! ❤❤❤    Read more

    60 min aromatherapy massage

    Take your shoes off. Put on these uncomfortable sandals and off to your room we go (out back). It was a beautiful room with two tables (the couple's room). It smelled nice and had nice relaxing music on. I was told to change into the "underwear" and cover my hair with the funny net hat.
    When I laid down on the soft table there was a bowl of water wirj beautiful flowers to look at though the hole. Every sense was thought of! ❤
    It was a wonderful 60 min massage with relaxing oil. There was some Thai massage mixed in and at the end the lady suggested I come get a 90 hot oil massage next time. It would be good for my back. I should try to get one in Chiang Mai (where we are flying tonight). She was wonderful!
    After showering I sat down in a lazyboy and got tea. And the mani-pedi began!

    Mani-Pedi Thai style

    Mani: filed, cleaned, soaked, softened with Vaseline, extra skin around the nail clipped off, cleaned, moisturized, did my feet, then painted French tips.
    Pedi: soaked, extra skin (callouses) scraped off the bottom of my foot with a tool with a razor in it, extra skin around my toes clipped away, moisturized and painted French tips.
    Unfortunately it was already like 4:20 and our flight was to leave at 5:20 pm. So I put my socks and shoes on and totally messed up my manicure and probably my pedicure. We ran back to the hostel, Reilly got our bags and I got a taxi.

    flight to Chiang Mai

    Left too late to the airport. Taxi driver drove on the highway and really fast to get us to the airport quickly. We made it there at 5:05 pm and our flight left at 5:20 pm. We missed it.
    So, we got the next flight at 6:40 pm and had to pay 500 Baht each. 👍 for 2$ insurance!
    When we boarded we were pleasantly surprised with Emergency row seats!

    Gaps House

    Booked 2 nights: 750 Baht per night. 1500Baht Total for 2 nights.
    The place is....hmm....interesting. Outside looks awesome! It's very jungle like. The room is spacious, but...interesting...the bathroom has an unwanted fountain (the butt hose has a leak), the bathroom door is crazy loud when you open or close it (and it needs to stay shut because the windows in there are only screens so the a/c goes right out if the door is open), the bed is on wheels and is very wobbly (luckily there are two beds!), there are a few mosquitoes that followed us into the room....but at least there is air conditioning!Read more

    Hot Chili Dinner

    After dropping our stuff off in our room at Gaps House, we walk to a nearby restaurant called Hot Chili. The food was ok. The Iced Thai Milk Tea was amazing!!
    Sweet sticky rice with mango was also delish!
