We were able to leave Girona quite late: Joan kindly ran down 5 flights of stairs to get the lift to come back up for us with our bags!

A spectacular city to visit, very easy to do as a day visit from Montpellier.

A long day to Genoa

On Saturday, we moved further east to Trieste, with one change.
At Venice Mestre, the platform was heaving: it transpires that a cruise ship in port meant lots of folk with big bags.
