Clos St. Louis

Our day finished with one of the highlights of the tour so far. We visited a Premier Cru winery in the village of Fixin - the Clos St. Louis. The owner and winemaker Phillip Bernard took us on a tour of the vineyard and the winery, followed by a tasting in his 17th century cellar. His family has owned the winery since the 1800's. The wines were great. We then had dinner (and wine) in his house and it was sensational.

Phillip is a member of The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Fraternity of Knights of the Wine-Tasters' Cup), an exclusive fraternity of Burgundy wine connoisseurs. And he's proud of it! Czytaj więcej
