    Piel Island

    At Piel Island. We caught the 'ferry' across and walked around the island which has a pub and the ruins of a 13th century castle used by the monks from Furness Abbey to collect tolls on shipping.

    The pub had a BBQ for lunch and was a good spot for food and a drink.Les mer
