Denali National Park

Up at 4.45am in 1°c so that we could catch the 6am East Fork Transit bus. The trip lasted just under 5 hours and went out to the furthest point possible on the Denali road. Due to the pretty rocks land slide this is a long way from the end of the road but they aren’t planning on clearing it until 2026.

On the journey we saw lots of wildlife:
Dall sheep🐑
Moose 🫎
Caribou
Snowshoe hares
A Grizzly 🐻
Harlequin duck

Oh, and Denali mountain in full, unobstructed view. Welcome to the 10% club, said the bus driver.

When we got back to the bus depot we got our things and headed for a shower. We then set out to dry he 15 miles of paved road again but didn’t see any wildlife.
