Milford Sound III

On the way back we cruised along the other side of the Sound so we good get a good view of both sides of Milford Sound!

We saw some fur seals as well. A few were laying on a rock but around 10 or maybe, even more, were in the water playing around. Or maybe not playing, the deckhand told us, that this is juveniles, kicked out from their colony so they come here to get adults. They have actually a quite bad digestive tract that’s why they are eating some stones and then they are rolling around on the water, like these ones did, to move the stones around to break up their meal so it’s easier for them.
