Kirkjufell

We arrived in Iceland early in the morning after a short “red eye” flight from Dulles. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the airline lost my luggage. We filed all of the necessary paperwork before picking up the car and heading to our first stop.

Kirkjufell was over 2 hours away from Reykjavik. This iconic mountain is considered one of the most scenic and photographed spots in Iceland. The weather was cold and rainy which made capturing that perfect photography impossible. We still enjoyed walking around and getting our first taste of all that Iceland has to offer.Read more
