    Snorkelling tour

    May 9 in Vanuatu β‹… β˜€οΈ 25 Β°C

Today after another leisurely breakfast we walked to the boat and saw a giant hermit crab! Then got on the boat for a snorkelling tour. First stop was a deeper reef and we saw some snapper and lots of other fishies. Then we hopped back on the boat and raced around to catch the trifector; dolphins, a turtle and flying fish. The next stop had amazing coral around an island with lots of nemos that are very protective of their anenomies. Then we headed back to the resort. In the afternoon we played some pickle ball and Jamsey won 2-0 (6-1, 6-1) Then we went for a relaxing couples massage in the ocean view spa. We had dinner and watched the fire show.Read more

  • Splash tour

    May 7 in Vanuatu β‹… 🌬 27 Β°C

Today we had another buffet breakkie and got ready for the splash tour. It was a rainy morning and we got on the bus to head to the blue lagoon. Lucky for us the sky cleared and we had some sunshine. We swung and jumped into the beautiful blue lagoon. Then we went to Eton beach, which was very windy. We had a hermit crab race and Caitlin won! Then we went to the turtle sanctuary where we held iguanas, saw a coconut crab (1m wide) tried to feed the turtles tuna but they werent hungry. Unfortunatly there were some turtle pickers about. Then we went home and relaxed. We walked to stone grill and cooked our own meat on a volcanic rock.Read more

Today we got up and slapped on the sunscreen for a morning snorkel. We saw lots of fishies πŸ πŸ‘πŸ¦€πŸͺΈ. We then went on our waterfall tour at the cascades. We jumped off a big platform (avoiding the rocks) and did the rope swing. Jamsey wanted to swim against the current which was very tiring. Then we had some afternnon tea with banana and grapefruit. We learnt all about Kava and tried some at the Kava bar. It made our mouth feel numb. We had a sunset spa with some drinks and chips which was very beautiful. πŸŒ… Then we had a parmy dinner.Read more

  • Day 2 Relaxin

    May 5 in Vanuatu β‹… β˜€οΈ 27 Β°C

Today Jamsey had a sleep in. We went to buffet breakfast and sampled everythingg. Then we went to snorkel cove and saw all the fishies. We explored port vila, got the lay of the land, got some toothpaste and went to all the shops, couldnt find the dive shop. We had lunch at Numbar one cafe and ordered the coveted New Zealand bass (frozen fish fingers) and Tusker beer. We then went back to the resort and had a cocktail in the pool. For dinner we had traditional Melanesian buffet with kava (mud water) and lap lap. There was a traditional music and dance. We learnt that once married the men would knock out a ladies front tooth to signal this girly is taken. (I think we will skip this tradition). Caitlin joined the unity dance.Read more
