• Crossing the border

    30 mei 2019, Australië ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

Under a blue sky we cooked breakfast outside for a change, and following the sun (and occasional light showers) we finally crossed the border to a different state with a different time zone. And nicer weather.
Here the fields are round, formed by their watering systems, and the forrests are exchanged by pine plantations.
For a short distance we were back on Princes Hwy, which too us out of Sydney, and followed us all the way to Tasmania. Only difference is the fewer cities around it and the higher speed limits despite a narrow road.
Although still in a cold wind, we made a stop at a sinkhole and a connected lake which both are formed by highly porous limestone, eventually collapses into these holes surrounded by dark, porous cliffs.
