(CR) La Fortuna

10/26 - took 10.5 hours to get here and almost missed the bus in Tilaran. Got food from Soda Leo. Beer here is Imperial. Finished reading Carolyn Forché's book on the bus ride over to Cañas. Lake Arenal is beautiful during sunset, too bad our bus couldn't stop.

10/27 - Climbed down to the Cascada (de Rio La Fortuna), then went to Termales Los Laureles, and finally to the El Salto pozo (Tarzan swing). Had a Pilsen for the first time, it was gooood

10/28 - Grabbed a cafe con leche from Soda Hormigas. Went to hike the Arenal volcano national Park. The hike itself wasn't great - too muddy with no views at the end. However, we watched the cloud dissipate from the parking lot and that was great 👍. Saw coatis and pretty birds. Then we went to Chuyin agua termales. Hitchhiked back with some nice Canadians since we couldn't get an Uber. Closed out the night with yet another meal at Soda Leo.Read more
