Seeboden to Alexanderhutte

We walked up into the clouds today with wonderful views of the lake below and the mountains all around. When we arrived at a mountain hut at midday the owner suggested that we might need to take a shortcut because of a forecast storm. The mountain Gods held off just enough for us to continue on the 2100m ridge line. It was very exposed, cold and rainy but a great adventure. Arriving at our final destination, Alexanderhutte was a wonderful and welcome sight and we retreated out of the rain into a warm cosy room to hot soup and, of course, schnapps. We then spent the evening dining with Bruce and Isabel watching (through the big picture windows) the clouds passing below us and revealing beautiful views - as if we were in an aeroplane.Lue lisää
