Ossiach to Velden

This morning we had a few hours of walking up a rocky gorge with a small creek running through it - it was so cool and peaceful even though it was another challenging ascent. We then managed to end up with a naughty/crazy/lovely dog following us for an hour and we tried to get him back home with our 2 German commands ‘no’ and ‘here’ - eventually a cafe owner managed to sort him out for us. When we arrived in Velden on Lake Wörthersee it was absolutely alive with action - it was their annual Euro Sports Car event. We sat at the iconic Schlosshotel Velden and watched Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren F1 and most impressive, the Rolls Royce Wraith with orange leather interior ( and the owner was a hipster ranger)! We ate dinner at a restaurant on the lake promenade and it was like being on the Grand Prix track ......oh and the lake was impressive too.Read more
