Back to Hallett and on to Burra

I packed up my gear and walked up the track, to the designated pick up point (a pin dropped on Google Maps, pretty much in the middle of nowhere!)
Rudi and his colleague were driving across to Ceduna for work and they kindly agreed to join the adventure by driving in to collect me and drop me back at my car in Hallett.
Rudi was surprised by the state of the track in and said that if it had rained it would not have been possible 🙃
After my drop off, I ducked into the Hallett cafe for a delicious egg and bacon roll and bought some mulberry jam.
At 1 pm, I drove in to collect Aneeta off the trail (thankfully this road was easy driving) and we checked in to our lovely accommodation at Paxton Square Cottages in Burra.
We had a few hours to shower, clean up, relax and read in the sunshine.
We enjoyed a 'non dehydrated camp meal' at the local pub (schnitzel & veg for me) and walked back to our cottages to enjoy a good night's sleep in a real bed....such luxury to have power and a reading light too!Weiterlesen
