Canal Float Parade

Canal Parade day was much gloomier than the somewhat sunnier Friday. We dressed in our Pride colours and viewed the floats a bit farther away than expected as the parade route was slightly different than what we had found earlier. We made it through half of the 80 amazing floats before freezing from the constant wind and intermittent showers. We were surprised at the number of organizer boats darting about to ensuring the floats could do their thing.

After warming up back at the hotel with a nice bath, we headed to the downtown area after the parade completed. As expected, the streets were literally jam packed with people. Sadly, lots of broken glass and litter ... We aborted that notion, picked up a couple of quick meals to reheat, and went back to the hotel instead 😀Leia mais
