• Nishiki Markets

    26. september 2023, Japan ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

We spent the afternoon exploring Nishiki Food Markets which are famous for the many seafood stalls. We probably walked for about 2 hours from stall to stall.

    We ate:
    Wagyu beef skewers
    Omurice (omelet on rice)
    Apple flavoured Snoopy pancake
    Strawberry mochi
    Yuzu and honey juice drink

The seafood looked interesting! But we weren't daring enough to try.

We also walked past a foot spa where tiny fish nibble at your feet! This looked too fun not to try, so we paid about $11 each for 10 mins in the spa. The fish instantly start pecking at your feet and go non stop the whole 10 mins. And they really get into the cracks! It feels like a constant fizzing, as if you had put your feet in a bath of really bubbly champagne.
