Whangamata with Pamo and Col.

An early start for a walk on the extensive beach at Whangamata. Very wise as the sun soon heated everything up. Its harbour area was very sheltered and the beach has an estuary at both ends. Tree covered islands dot the bay. We had coffee in town and returned home for a late breakfast. I had a swim (YEAH!) in Pamo and Col's pool. Thanks to an expensive big blue plastic bag, especially for the plaster cast. It worked well and everything stayed dry. I'm feeling more confident that short swims are now a thing. Rob and Col had an afternoon on the beach with boogie body boards to ride the waves. Col prepared a lovely lamb casserole for evening meal. So good to share time together.Read more
