Uretiti

Saturday started with Rob doing Whangamata parkrun which only had about 70 runners and he came 28th. It was hard work as 90% on soft grass. We then sadly hugged farewell to Pam and Col, who had looked after us so well. We headed north and encountered traffic jams and slow progress through Auckland city, which reminded us of UK motorways! Eventually, we arrived at Uretiti campsite at a beautiful location on the East Coast. We enjoyed the sunrise over the sea the following morning before setting off early to the Bay of Islands.Read more
