Sunday day trip

Maria and Eugene took us all to visit Tainan, the city where Rena was born. The Dutch East India Company built a fort here in the 1630s. More recently, it became a school. The cinema is a very old one with hand painted film advertising. The Confucian temple became a seat of learning for Taiwan. Finally, we visited Kaohsiung beautiful harbour area, where the British Consulate residents overlooked the bay. We finished the evening with a meal in a restaurant where we had a selection of meat and vegetables which we individially cooked in broth at the table.Weiterlesen
